firstly i didn't like so much the idea with the super deluxe package and today i saw the limited single with the volcom! tshirt... why should anyone buy a pj single with the volcom icon on it? it's a shame to see my favorite band sellout like this.. i just hope not to see the ten-ipod in the goods section the following weeks..

Pearl Jam fans are of the age now that they tend to have disposable income to spend on luxury items. So what if people want to buy all this stuff? The band is just providing new toys and collectibles for the fans to flaunt.

HMV in Canada is running a contest...guess what one of the prizes is?

btw the shirt is pretty "ugly".
99% of band t-shirts are ugly....I may be on the low side here...
this is true
Musicans are allowed to make money, everyone. I'm sorry to break it to those of you who find this offensive, and I wonder if you, yourself, work for free (or not for profit). The question to ask yourself, if this concerns you, is whether or not the steps taken to make money undermine the content and artistic quality of the music.
U2's Ipod Vertigo commerical was annoying, but it wasn't selling out

I'm not buying the Volcom shit. Not because they are "selling out" but because the shirt is ugly, and I already have the song on the single. I love that PJ is introducing new and interesting ideas of how to present their music (past, present and hopefully future). I am really looking forward to the SUPER DELUX version of TEN and any/all future special edition releases because they give hard core fans a new and interesting perspective on something old while also presenting an opportunity to get some cool collectibles. I love it.
The whole "Sellout" thing is over rated as a mother fucker anyways. Who cares as long as the music is good? Isn't the music the point? The rest is just business and a small distraction at worst.
but what's the point of the release of a single with 2 live versions of the songs and a pretty ugly shirt? i find it very annoying to see the volcom icon on the single..
