Although I normally try to be slightly "green". In observation of march madness I think they should of rescheduled earth hour. I wasn't about to shut off the Nova/Pitt game for this. I did recycle my beer bottles though

Yeah, instead of sitting in the dark for an hour, I actually decided to continue my current program of recycling paper and using re-usable water bottles and shopping bags. You know, things that actually help the planet.
Also, this would have been more effective if they had done it during the day. At night it's a one time thing; no one will ever willingly do it again because it means sitting in the dark. If you do it during the day, you teach people--oh, I can use natural light instead of wasting all this electricity--and maybe encourage repeated sustainable behavior. Because it turns out sitting in the dark once a year for an hour isn't going to do anything.

Yeah, and you wanna know how much pollution was saved in the whole bit?
None. Nada. Zero.
How symbolically gay.
Really? I 'saved' a whole box of pollution.
You're an idiot.
I'm an idiot that knows that power plants operate at peak performance levels at all times regardless of how many dolts do or do not have their lights turned on.
What's really better? Producing energy and it's associated pollutants and using that energy to do something useful? Or just letting it all go to waste and polluting the same amount anyway?
