move to England and you can start all over again. the very first episode is showing tonight on non-pay TV, for the first time.

Watch the other 2 Baltimore Crime shows by david Simon...
Homicide:Life on the Street (8 seasons, 110+ episodes- most of which are just as good as the wire).. and "The Corner"- 6 episodes, not as good as the other 2, but still better than just about any other tv shows ever.

I thought everyone had to pay for broadcast TV. Did this change?
well, yeah there's the TV licence, but unless you have no TV you pay that anyway (and there's some good TV on BBC, ad-free, so not too bad. better Than the French TV licence that might be half the price but has fuck all interesting) but I don't shell extra for satellite or cable.
But since I'm impatient, even 1 ep a day is not enough and I just downloaded the whole thing and watched the next 5 eps over the weekend...starting to really get into it... only problem is the download doesn't have subtitles (unlike the TV where I can put them on.. and need them at times).
