I've been playing this again for the first time in... what, 12 years? It's been a pretty intense walk down memory lane. I was maybe 10 when the game came out and its graphics and music seem to be firmly embedded somewhere in my subconscious, 'cause as soon as I started playing it again, it all came rushing back to me.

Anyone remember this fucked-up game and its craziness?

I looked it up and it came out in '96, which was after I grew out of video games but before I grew back into them. I will have to track this one down, although as for it being the best game in the Mario series...plz. That game is called Mario Kart.

I don't know about it being the best but it's certainly the weirdest. Or second only to Mario Bros 2.

You rank Mario Bros 2 over Mario 3? Hmmm. I haven't played 2 in more than a decade probably, but I remember that myself and my mom's daycare kids all heavily favored 3.

mario two is only weird because it wasn't originally a mario game.

That Paper Mario game for the GC was insanely good as well.

Loved this game. I wish they'd make a sequel

I'd be inclined to agree with this statement.

I was hardly ever a huge video game person, but this has got to be without question my favorite game ever. took up large portions of my life when I was in 5th grade or so. I've been wanting to play it again for a long, long time.

ok maybe Roller Coaster Tycoon wins favorite video game ever, but two totally different things.

Yeah, I knew. The Paper Mario and handheld games were great. But I was hoping for another Square/Nintendo collaboration

I'm pretty sure you can download this game on the Wii. After reading this brief thread, I think I'm going to.

I played paper mario, which was a ton of fun. I want to download this, if it is truly available. Too bad I accidentally deleted my paper mario game after about 10 hours. I've been so frustrated by my own stupidity, I haven't played it sense...just too discouraged.

all Paper Mario games are great. Can't remember if it was this or N64 Paper Mario I downloaded on the VC but it was excellent either way.
