Hey guys, I'm getting married in a couple months and want to hear some ideas for some good walk in music. We're looking for songs with either long intros or even just instrumental pieces. I want it to be rock (rock-ish, at least). Something that gets your foot tapping. Some vocals would be fine, provided there's no swears, no depressing lyrics, and the singer's voice is ok.

you'll really turn some heads if you use the Ultimate Warrior's entrance music.

hm, a rock song, that's tricky as there are tons of bands that are usually heavy but do occasionally write a great ballad. Lotta degrees of variance.

But,if you can't pin a song down, as a DJ who's done tons of weddings, I'd always fall back on "When I fall In Love" by Nat King Cole when the bride/groom couldn't think of anything. It's got a great symphonic opening as you'd come into the room and then settles with the vocal coming in for the remainder. Very stylish and works well with the old folk.

But again, I always encouraged couples to pick a song that really mattered to them. If you can't, try Cole out.

"Smack My B*tch Up" - Prodigy
or
"Closer" - NIN

Are the obvious choices in this situation.

Thanks for the replies so far. I'll check these out when I get home from class tonight. I don't know how the Ultimate Warrior song goes, but I bet it'd be a tough sell for the lady. Heh.

My wife is a huge DMB fan so we came into "Two Step." Now I'm not a huge Dave fan but I thought it was a decent choice, starts out kinda slow but picks up tempo pretty quickly. I know a good majority of our guests, 20-30ish age range, were familiar with the song so they got pretty into it. Open bar always helps too!

The ugly tattooed swingers euphemise and call their mucky hobby "trysts,"
but if I saw another man touch you, I'd break his fuccing wrists.
