I think tonight is going to be a great episode because they pretty much need to start a new storyline. Tony taking over CTU would be great but what's he gonna do? Jack's gotta hunt down Marwan but Tony needs some kind of crisis to handle...can't wait to see what it is. I also hope this week we find out if Heller is a bad dude or not. My guess is yes.

i bet marwan's next move is an attack on air force one. the kidnapping allows the nukes, the nukes keep the president in the air, then they shoot him down.

Whoever predicted about the EMP last week, you were 100% correct, nicely done!
And I want the record to show that the second Secretary Heller said the new replacement for head of CTU was a "she", I called that it would be Michelle.
The whole thing with the defense company setting off an EMP (and calling in some sort of SWAT team in the previews) in order to protect those files is absurd. Obviously the repurcussions for all this will be far worse than if they cooperated. It does make for good TV, though.

Any predictions for the coming weeks?
I'm gonna go with elbarto and say maybe an attack on Air Force One...although that would be an absurd story line...why would the president fly near California if all this shit was going on?
I think I was right when I said tonight's episode was gonna start a new story line...but I was wrong when I said it was gonna be "great." A little too much setup, not enough action...but hopefully next week will make up for it.

It IS going to be an attack on Air Force One. First off Marwan mentioned something about an Air Force base, which would be a place that Air Force One would land. Secondly, the president has been in the air for quite a while now, he will need to land soon. Third, in the previews they showed a guy getting what looked like a pilot uniform.
Don't the people at that company realize that they can't just get rid of Jack and what's his name? They know where they are, any disappearance will cause the blame to be put on them.
I knew Michelle was coming back weeks ago, I didn't think she would come to take over CTU. Once I found out that Tony was going to be put in charge of CTU I figured that she would come in and do something so that he wouldn't be able to take over.
I wonder if Michelle and Tony will get back together? Based on the preview it seems like Michelle is pretty harsh towards him.

So how do you think David Palmer will come back? In what role?
I think he will be some sort of advisor to the president, seeing as he dealt with similar crisis's. I think he will play a major role near the end, and maybe be killed off.
Also, how far into the season are we? How many hours are left?

from what i heard he is working in the "private" sector, so i would guess that he would come back as a consultant. I don't know if he will be a consultant for the president or not, but it's a possibility.

That was an enjoyable ep.
Those guys w/ the defense company are a bunch of morons. They wouldn't they have gone to jail if they had come clean to the government that they had no idea of Marwan's identity prior to the attack. They just shot themselves in the foot...as if they could've ever gotten way w/ setting off that EMP. And now they're going to try and kill Jack & Paul...geez.
It was pretty obvious once Heller first mentioned a replacement from Division that it would be Michelle. Should be interesting to see what happens w/ that. I actually felt bad for Driscoll, though.

been gone for awhile because this season has been sooo predictable. if you're a fan of this show, and have religiously watched the previous seasons in 24 hour spans (or damn near tried), you will know, that about every two episodes there is always a twist at the end of the second episode in the pair.. sometimes it's three episodes... when there is less than a minute left... expect things to turn.
as for driscoll, all i can say is that there has to be a mole in the medical dept. i'm happy she's no longer on the show. good riddance. now they have to get rid of mush mouth, curtis, and sarah. heller a criminal? maybe... playing on how good jack is to get him out, and having the terrorists leave large bread crumbs.... look for anything to go bad.

You make it sound as if you think the writers know what they're doing.
