Recently I've had 2 WD MyBooks apparently shit the bed. One won't even turn on and the other is on but is not showing up under "My Computer" Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
I had 0 luck trying to get my MyBook up and running once it died. Sounds like you may have a similar problem as mine with a malfunction in the power supply. I had to crack open the case and just install the drive into another external housing.... worked like a charm after that. After researching it a bit, I guess this is a pretty common problem with the MyBook's.

I got an estimate from the Geek Squad today...$159 per drive so $318 plus a new hard drive $200 (would need a 1.5T drive) in order to fix my issue! $518.

I'm telling ya, break those bitches open yourself and install them into cheap external casings. Check out NewEgg or Slickdeals for cheap prices on casings. I'd be willing to bet that your drives themselves are fine, just the MB power supply's are junk. Geek Squad is a huge ripoff!

Thanks MAlcom. I don't have the knowledge to do this but I have a friend that builds computers. I'll take them to him. How much do casings run?

They range, usually $10 and up. I would suggest looking for an enclosure with plenty of ventilation and/or a fan to keep your drive cool.
