Okay, so I'm trying to think of this movie I saw a few months ago, but can't seem to come up with which one I'm thinking of. This is a pretty vague description, but here it goes:

I'm pretty sure it's a comedy (but maybe not), and the opening scene has an old, fat guy sitting in what seems to be similar to a lawyer's office, I think
smoking a pipe, and he just introduces the movie to the audience, making like a disclaimer or saying something important about the movie.

i just checked with chud and he thinks it is the special edition of the big lebowski, not the original version but the special one that came out afterwards

yeah, that's it. cuz i watched it for the first time about 2 months ago, borrowing it from my friend justin. I watched again last night with some other people, but this time it was my friend gary's copy. I was almost positive that I was thinking of the right movie, but it wasn't in it. So thank you for making me not crazy, as everyone thought i was.
