Why did it take so long? I have no idea. I've been a fan for at least 6 years now and I figured a lot of people are going to be hopping on the Jamwagon so I better get in now.

Good plan. The way they do things now (for the last tour and hopefully for the future) front row seats are lottery based, as are other seats up close. It's not just us long-time members who get close.

Welcome aboard the ... the.... ten club thing. hehe.

Gosh no. I only care because this is something that has come up before and people used to get upset. I am glad they changed the ticket policy and I support it.

Why would you assume something negative? This is a good thing.

He joined up. I think it's great.

I've been a fan for about 13 years and I still haven't joined. Is it worth it for someone who doesn't go to many gigs, doesn't collect merchandise. Even if I did go to a lot of shows, wouldn't I still be stuck in the middle of the stadium somewhere?

Depends on the venue - Doc and I managed to get front row center in South Carolina last year and I was also in row 6 for Vedder's solo show in Berkeley - no. 266xxx.

European shows are GA, so you get as close as you're willing to queue up.
And there's the lottery in the US (got front row MSG1 on a 242xxx number, and I know several other people that got various lottery seats).

I've been in and out for a long time. I've never gotten a good seat yet, but there is always hope.

I have a 184XXX and at Boston shows I've always had decent seats. In 2000 at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield I was in the first row behind that aisle that bisects the covered area, so probably about 30 rows back, dead center. I was very impressed for a first show. Fast forward to 2008 and I got to sit in the front section on stone's side, maybe 15 or 20 rows back. For the two 2008 shows I actually sat in the same row/section both nights which seemed weird.

It seems really subjective as far as getting seats...my # is 180xxx and I had 7th row center for Ed in Boston( 2nd night), seats in section 76 for both MSG shows in '08, 10th row in Ottawa in '05 and way in the back in Hartford '08.(just some recent ones I can remember) I'm not really complaining, at least we don't have to pay $250 a seat like U2 is asking for decent seats in a stadium where you're just watching a big screen. More power to them, but I just can't see the point.
