Wow, that's really fascinating. I wonder how this actually happened, if it was just a bunch of lazy animators, or a command from on high in the Disney company. Cool video.

For the most part, they used scenes from Disney movies that were animated using Xerography. The technique was used from around 1960 up until the mid-1980's, and was based around tracing and copying templates in order to cut the number of studio animators working for Disney.
Jungle Book, 101 Dalmations, Aristocrats, Robin Hood ... all Xerographic films.
