It does make me wonder why the hell someone videotaped a show of a band no one had even heard of before ( and their first show at that!)

I realize that. But were they big enough to warrant someone taping the first show that contained a couple of their members? Or was this just a case of the headliners ( Alice in Chains?) being taped and the person catching the openers as well?

The first show was probably recorded by the band with friends doing the filming and recording for them.

Could be. Seems like we'd have SB audio if that's the case, tho.

Maybe there is soundboard audio, we just don't have it. I'd assume that it would've been recorded to a DAT or cassette off the board if so.

If this 20-year anniversary doco thing gets done, I'd expect to see some of that video on it - and then we'll know if they also recorded the audio.
