Anybody here heard of the 90s shoegazing band Slowdive? They just released a greatest hits called Catch the Breeze, Pitchfork gave it a 9.5. I've been listening to their album Souvlaki, and its some of the prettiest music I've ever heard.

They're kind of MBVish, waves and waves of heavenly guitar noise and keyboards with androgynous, sensual vocals.

Me likey :heartbeat:

'Allison' is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Glad to hear you know about them

Yea, this is great stuff. Nothing quite does the trick like MBV though.

I'll probably get it since I can't find any of their regular albums anywhere except in my computer.

I love MBV and I've had this on my list of stuff to check out for a while, but I can't find it anywhere.

I just got Souvlaki, I love it. (Thanks, Slsk...)

Souvlaki Space Station, now THAT is a fuckin song.

I've got some of Pygmalion, it seems really cool too.

I'm now positive it's her after having another look.

She likes cats, chalk another point of awesomeness up for the heavenly Ms Goswell!

A whole bunch of Slowdive live tapes up on dime right now, get 'em while they're hot.

The Oslo 1993 soundboard is a must-have.
