Enjoyed it a bit as a youngin. Watched it a couple years ago and was bored. But I pretty much have lost all appreciation for anything with Billy Crystal as I've gotten older. He's at least survivable as a bit part player, but even on Princess Bride he makes probably the least enjoyable scene.

You see, I'm not a Billy Crystal fan at all, and I can only stand Danny DeVito in small doses, but for some reason everything clicks in this movie. Perhaps it's because it's about writing, and writer's block in particular, that does it for me. Sure, some of the scenes start to scream cheesey 80's, but a lot of it is rescued by the scenes with Owen's momma. Also, perhaps I see my future in teaching English/writing at a community college and just hope that someday my life will be as exciting as a Hollywood movie is.
