would you mind if the band played ten in its entirety in the 2009 shows because of the anniversary or whatever? the dates seem to be pre-new album, and they may or may not play new material, so i guess it's a valid question.
my first reaction upon the thought wasn't so positive, but after a few minutes, i got to thinking i wouldn't mind it. in fact, it would be very cool. the only track i occasionally skip over is deep, and they've done way worse than that.
what about you?
ps. even if they don't, i'm thinking we may get some very special setlists for this few shows, mainly because they're doing so few of them right before or around the release of the album. i'm really looking forward to toronto

I wouldn't mind it- it'd be something fairly unique at least. It's not every day one of your favorite bands plays one of your favorite records in whole at a show.
I doubt they'd do that, but I certainly wouldn't object if they did.

If they were doing this it'd be on a show 20 years after it's release. I'd feel a little let down if it happened at a show I was at this year...I don't mind the album, but a lot of the fun of the show is the unpredictability of the set list.

As a fan, if it happened, I would think it would be cool and unpredictable. An unpredictable setlist is, in a sense, predictable. But a predictable setlist, like 9-19-06 is just awesome if you really like the band, the albums, and the music.

I wouldn't mind if they started performing complete albums during a tour. One night, during the middle of the gig they perform Ten. At the next show, they close the main set by performing Binaural. Next night, they perform No Code at some point in the show. Something like that'd be interesting to do for one tour to surprise fans.

Ive always liked that idea... the Italy show in 06 with the full Avacado was nice for those of us who like to get alot of the bootlegs...
Maybe theyre planning on playing all the songs from Ten Era, for a DVD release next year on the 20th Anniversary of them forming a band? If they werent, that sounds like a good idea

Even if they never played albums sequentially, it'd be interesting if they ever chose to perform new albums in their entirety during a tour. I'm thinking of how Radiohead performed In Rainbows last year in its entirety, sprinkled throughout a show. I'm not sure if they performed it every night, but it was still cool that you got to hear the whole record at a gig.

I think that'd be a cool idea even with an old record. Playing all the tracks, in order, throughout a show.

I dont know about IN order... most of their albums... theyve tended to play songs differently live... Of the Girl as an opener Release as an opener Porch and RVM as closers... but knowing them... who knows... they could play it in reverse order just to be Pearl Jam.
