And another one ...
The Pearl Jam love continues to flow ... another show has been added on August 24th at the United Center in Chicago, IL.
Beginning today, May 7th, pre-sale tickets will be on-sale through the Ten Club, online only at https://www.pearljam.com/max with a Visa or Mastercard. This pre-sale will be open to ALL members of the Ten Club. If you are not already a member, you must first purchase a membership before placing your order for show tickets. This ticket pre-sale will end tomorrow, Friday May 8th at 5pm Pacific Time.
Ticket buyers are allowed to purchase two (2) tickets only. No single tickets. For wheelchair accessible seating, please contact tickets@tenclub.net. Ten Club tickets are available while supplies last. The ticket pre-sale will end on Friday, May 8th at 3pm Pacific Time.
Ten Club tickets are for reserved seating and will be allocated by seniority. The longer you have been in the fan club, the closer your seats will be to the stage. Newer members should not expect prime seat locations. Proximity to the stage is contingent on the amount of members in attendance. Seat location is NOT revealed prior to the performance.
Please read the following details before making a ticket purchase:
- Tickets are not mailed in advance. Tickets are distributed at the venue on the day of the show. - The fan club member must collect the tickets with a valid photo identification. No exceptions. - Purchasing Ten Club tickets means you agree to all Ten Club ticket policies and distributing procedures. - Reselling of Ten Club tickets will result in cancellation of ticket purchase and revocation of all future ticket benefits. - All ticket sales are final. No refunds. No transfers. No exchanges. - All dates are subject to change.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public for both the Chicago 8/23 and 8/24 shows on May 9th at 11am local time. Visit this link for details: http://www.ticketmaster.com.

i do not understand why the 10c announces these shows one by one???? i'm not even going to these shows and it frustrates me. some may make the point that they wait for the first show to sell out to book the second, but come on, this is pearl jam, in chicago, the 10c knows they can sell out 2 shows. total bs. i just do not get it.

Often times the venue and the promoter are the source of the wait to announce a 2nd show, since they're the ones out the most if the 2nd show doesn't sell well

another thing that frustrates me, is 10c gives you ZERO time to make a decision to go to a show. Come on, tickets go on sale the same day they are announced! okay i'm done bitching.

Is there a reason they couldn't do what they did with the Ed shows and say the date was tentative at the time of the initial announcement? That would have been nice.
Perhaps it is just as much a surprise to them as it is to us.

Tend to agree with that complaint too. I mean If these were out of town, i would need more time to check airfares, work schedule, etc... It also means a show in your own town could sell out without you knowing unless you are on the boards and PJ.com site all the freaking time.

i think people are going to be pretty disappointed in this fall's "tour" honestly.
i've heard they will only be playing 10-12 cities
at least if there are multiple nights or they announce the tour as a whole people can plan to travel, but this new method of trickling dates and immediate on-sales sucks.
I'm hoping to travel for a week of shows on the fall tour, but that will be impossible this way. gotta feel for the people who decided to fly in for 8/23 and out on 8/24, though I would have waited til the Saturday ticket sales before booking a flight.

I pretty much agree with everything that's been said in the thread already. Why can't they just book a bunch of shows and stagger the on-sale times? Its really a bummer to see them operate like this. I don't want to turn into a nervous wreck thinking about whether or not a show just went on sale in my backyard and if I'll be able to get tickets. If the fan club is trying new policies to see if there's anything that works better in the long run, fine, but right now this just feels like they're toying with us.

I'm 100% sure this is it. They are having fun with us. I can't explain it any other way.

they should just end the club. then we could all buy tickets from stubhub for 500% face value and really have a reason to bitch. instead they give us an opportunity to sit in seats the average joe never gets close to. so they're trickling out the dates. so fucking what? if you can't get your ducks in a row in 24 hours, use ticketmaster like everyone else. if you're in the club because you think it entitles you to tickets, you should probably go fuck yourself. if you're even financially stable enough to be able to consider a pair of tickets and traveling farther than a tank of gas goes, you've got nothing to bitch about. a little perspective, people. you're all good folks on this board and in this thread, but you get goddam mental about everything this club does. i can't imagine anyone in this thread who has been in the club for at least 5 years hasn't benefitted at least once.

Aye, I think they feel they are genuinely funny when they go on about tweet tweets and that we love the suspense and mystery.
No doubt there are people over there that make comments to that effect. One needs only to read comments posted on news stories on the official site to see the drones waxing lyrical about how good the ten club is.
