Is anyone changing plans for this show with TC tickets now that Philly and other shows have been added? I'm committed to the dates in Chicago but only have tickets secured for 8/23. Thanks.

Jay, I wont get into details about my Philly plans, but I'm in a similar boat (but reversed, from Chicago, headed to Philly) and this is yet another reason that 10C needs to stop this BS of announcing a tour in pieces.
people have to make plans and then cancel because closer shows get announced, travel arrangements dont work out or expected rollover shows dont happen. in the end, 10C might get wasted and its teh fans that lose out.

I am still planning on going to both Chicago shows (but only have tickets for 8/23). Regardless of what happens in Philly with tickets today. So I am hoping to find a good pair for 8/24 somehow (forgive me for disconnecting from my computer for a day or whatever we had to get the 2nd show).
We get a lot back from 10C in terms of the big picture, but the simple details I don't know? Why could bands in the 1980s, perhaps before announce a full tour?

I dont know if theres a thread out their bitching about the way the tours been announced? I personally dont have much a problem with it, as im not going to fly to shows, or drive more than X miles anyway...
but If there is a thread? It should be pointed out that McCartney is pulling the same thing hes now playing 6 shows? in the US, and theyve all been announced one at a time
My mom wants to get tickets to Tulsa Oklahoma (the closest hes playing to us so far) but I told her to wait Chicago might happen... (im not going to drive 20 hours for Macca LOL)

I dunno man, I think you probably should not buy tickets if you aren't pretty certain you can go. I don't think the 10c is being malicious here, even though this few dates at a time thing sucks.

agreed, but there is a big difference between "can't go" and "decide not to go."
think about it, a fan in Philly buys tickets to go see the Chicago shows due to the fear that the band might not come anywhere near Philly this year or next.
2 pairs of tickets: $360 2 plane tix: $600 2 nights in hotel: $200 plus other expenses (like car/cab/food/etc.)
then the Philly shows get announced, and the fan realizes (before buying plane tix) that he could eat the Chicago show tickets, and use the $800 they wouldve spent on plane/hotel to go see all of the Philly shows (2, 3 or 4) and still come out ahead. if he decides to do that, no one can really blame him, and the Chicago 10C tix go to waste.

From the ticket market.
Quote:
Chicago 8/24
I have two tickets for 8/24 that I bought for 70 bucks each. (66+ a 9 dollar surcharge) They are in section 313, row 11, seats 18 and 19. It turns out that August 24th is also my first day of school. When I started in education 15 years ago, August 24th was still fucking SUMMER!! But...if anyone is interested, I am trying to get rid of them AND get a large portion of my money back. Any mod that wants to move this to the ticket forum for me, that would be great to, cause I am too retarded to figure out how to do it. My email addy is cb2414@hotmail.com If I seem pissed, I am!!...was lookin forward to this.
Price: $ 120 or best offer

just putting in that I'll be at the two UC shows.
As for the way they announced shows I've been a bit perplexed by it. I'm wondering if it's a trend like withMcCartney it's not a financial thing. Not sure how the mega-booking market has changed with the financial apocalypse but it may require a lot more wrangling than before. Not sure.
You'd think there's a reason for it. I personally had zero problems with tickets this time and love the poster policy they announced.
Really makes for a hassle free experience in many ways.
