Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was the victim of a violent robbery outside Southern Tracks Recoding Studio in Atlanta, where the band is recording a new album with producer Brendan O'Brien. According to a police report, Ament and a band employee pulled up to the rear of a studio on the afternoon of April 27 when three assailants emerged from the woods wearing masks and brandishing knives. The robbers smashed the windows of a rented jeep and stole $3,000 in cash and $4,320 worth of goods. Ament was chased and knocked to the ground, sustaining a head laceration. No arrests have been made. Pearl Jam declined to comment.

glad to see no serious injuries...i was robbed at gunpoint in DC a few years back and its definitely an eye opening experience to say the least..i gave them my bowl/weed and they scattered away
i hope they didnt steal my christmas single..tic

I answer to myself wich kind of song will come out of this incident.Something like "help,help" part 2 maybe?

Kind of, but not really. On one side of the street you have Emory University and is pretty nice, but on the other side is Buford Highway, known for being heavily populated by Hispanics and lots of low income housing.
I worked in the same office park as the studio for three years and never once felt threatened, but there were others in my building who did not like the people who would loiter in the area. One time a "crazy" person walked into our office and just kind of hung out there for a while, so after that we just started locking the front door and weren't really bothered too much after that.
