Not a bad read, really. Also, includes yet more evidence of Stone's liking for buttsecks:

JA: All these intellectual out-there artist types that I barely knew...

SG: GAYS!?!?!

JA: Most of the people that worked there were gay or curious... They took care of this kid, this dumb farm kid that had just moved there.

SG: That's beautifuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllllllllllllllll.

Read the Mike McCready piece, something (or somebody) is missing.

That's the worst transcription of an interview E V E R.

I loved the Jeff and Stone interview...I have to admit, I did chuckle at "gays?"...ha. Is Stone playing with us now?

got this and single today.

good reading in my book.

i'm very annoyed that it was all "looking back" rather than "looking ahead" though.

received this in the mail today. Great newsletter so far. I haven't a turntable so I'll search around for some mp3s of the single.

Oh, and is it news that Brad Wilk from Rage Against The Machine auditioned for the band in 1991 after Krusen left/got fired?

Mike mentions they tried him out as he was an old buddy of Ed's but the chemistry wasn't there.

It was certainly news to me...

i had heard it earlier this year, not sure where, but with all the talk about their search for a drummer during ten it was mentioned. As much as I like his stuff with RATM, and he clearly would of been on board with the politics of the band, I think its good that they went with somebody else...

The recipe is pretty weak. It's a plain omelette and frozen hash browns.

Volumes 2 and 3 only had one issue each. Let's hope there is an issue 2 around New Album time.

Sorry, Mr. Pegg, but I'd say zero chance. ZERO. :(
