I read about this in a NYT article:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/11/educa ... terstitial
Here's the video under the spoiler:
Spoiler: show

Now, I don't have a huge problem with the video itself--I actually agree with a lot of it. However, I feel real queasy about showing this to grade schoolers as young as 9, as the NYT reported on. Now, if it were, say, at high school in an ecology class, that's a different story altogether. But I'm not sure if criticizing lifestyles is a proper thing to be teaching to such young kids, even if I agree with the criticism.

The Story of Stuff is great. We all sat down and watched it at work a couple weeks ago.

I see no problem showing it to young kids.

I much prefer when schools focus on how to think rather than what to think.

The economy is bad because it hurts the environment. Didn't you listen to the greenpeace woman?

Hookers consume food and produce waste which hurts our mother earth. The best thing to do would be to just jerk off. Then again you'd probably use tissue and that would make more garbage. Fuck!

Even if you didn't pay for their services, they would still consume food....

Are you saying genocide of hookers?
