This show was great. Only one season. The season finale is on youtube below. It was only 6 episodes. Premise is easy:
Cute girl is told that she has to get her entire family in 14 days to fly in so she can marry a fat, obnoxious guy. She thinks he is also a "contestant" but in reality he is an actor trying to act like an idiot. In fact, his whole family are actors. If she can get through the wedding vows she wins $500,000.

Fear Factor was always fun though. I loved watching people eat the absolute worst shit for 50 measly thousand dollars, pretax. They weren't even guaranteed it! Only 1 of 3 got it!

my saturday night routine in college often involved a late evening nap, shower (while sucking down as many natural lights as i could; something soooooooo nice about drinking a cold beer in a hot shower), watching at least one of that night's "cheaters" vignettes (whilst consuming more of said natural light), going out (and consuming yet more alcohol), and then coming back to our townhouse and crashing any randoms' parties that might be going on.

I used to go to "penny pitchers" on Wednesdays where it was $5 to get in and for 4 hours you could drink as much Natty Light as you wanted. I think that was a bad idea, in hindsight.

i'm pretty sure 90% of the show was staged, but god did it do an amazing job at shining the spotlight on the dregs of humanity. and bart, the fun filters at work prevent me from seeing that video, but my sense is it's either the clip of the lesbos in drag, or joey greco getting stabbed. am i right? amirite?
