What happens when you play two separate copies of Radiohead's "Kid A" exactly 17 seconds apart? According to some, it produces some amazing synchronization effects. Although some fans claim to have heard Thom Yorke say it was intentional, "Whether or not it was intentional to me seems beyond the point. Fact of the matter is that it actually 'kind of' works."

this is the kind of ballsy claim i can get behind. album of the decade my be a bit brash, but shit damn if it wouldn't be a contender.
Hell, i could trim both albums to a lean 8 tracks (in no particular order):
Everything in it's Right Place National Anthem How To Disappear Completely Ideoteque Pyramid Song You and Whose Army? I Might Be Wrong Like Spinning Plates
I could probably lift a few of the ambient filler tracks for atmosphere, but as a collection of songs, this would be fucking hard to beat.
it's plain unfair to think radiohead would be able to outdo themselves after these two. i'm perfectly ok with these representing their peak. i mean, what else do you want?

it wouldnt work, look at MF's list, he removed some of the best stuff
Life On A Glasshouse, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Kid A, Optimistic, Knives Out
i would use the alternative version of Glasshouse, btw.
I agree completely with all of this, except for the "it wouldn't work part." You just have to make it a longer album. The alternate Life In A Glass House is by far their best song, imo.

did i? i don't think so.
there are way too many mediocre tracks on both albums. Amnesiac is a more tolerable listen though and i can enjoy it as a full album. i cannot however, make it through Kid A without skipping half the tracks. it's probably blasphemy but it's my least favorite record of theirs after Pablo Honey.
I stand by my 8 tracks plus 2 or 3 of the atmospheric filler tracks to allow for a more cohesive album experience. Knives Out probably could sneak in there too.
