i am pretty sure the "sonic youth cover" was a joke... he broke a string near the end of i am mine and then just kinda kept playing the guitat really high... i think that was a joke... i really dont think it was anything but messing around...
i am also pretty sure the unknown song was a springsteen song... he said he was gonna try it but"had no business trying it" aand bear with him if he messed up.... it had alot of lyrics and he clearly was reading it from a cheat sheet in his suit case... he nailed this song and was really good... i really think i heard it before but i am not the biggest springsteen fan so i dont know what it was or if it was him... sure had a springsteen feel and i seem to remember it talking about driving and new jersey...
another side note... for some reason (excluding me of course) the crowd tonight seemed to be 97% douche bags... it was a bit annoying at times... last nights crowd was alot better
parting ways pretty much kicked ass in my opinion and had a nice little jam at the end

It was Open All Night. I didn't recognize the song when Ed played it, but was sure it was another Springsteen cover. Looked it up this morning, and it definitely was that song.

About what time did Eddie take the stage? Did posters sell out quickly?
He went on just before 9 both nights and ended around 10:45 if I remember correctly. Night 1 posters were still available on the way out b/c it sucked. I didn't see any Night 2 ones on the merch table on the way out, but I really wasn't looking since I already had one in my hand.
