It looks pretty nifty. Rodriguez is pretty hit and miss, but this could be a real breakthrough for him. I wish he had spent a little more time on Once Upon a Time to flesh it out a bit more. It looked great, and had some great lines, but the story was pretty much a mess.

If it is half as good as the comics, it will be great.
Does anyone know how much input Frank Miller had?

He co-directed it with Rodrigues, so a whole hell of a lot of input. It is supposed to follow the comics exactly, with the actual images on screen mirroring scenes from the comic. Go here and click on "comic book comparison" to see what I mean.

Wow...

I had no idea it would be that true to the comic. I can't wait to see Marv fuck shit up. Now I've got very high hopes for this movie.

If you look on the Yahoo! Movies page, it also gives Quentin Tarantino directing credit.

I saw a preview for this last night and I said, "Wow," right when it ended, and I never get impressed by movie trailers.

This has great potential in my mind.

Frank Miller is God, if he ever gets a chance to direct a batman film, watch the fuck out. The Dark Knight Returns is a goddamn masterpiece.

I just saw the preview, and it about blew me away. Holy crap.

The movie isn't in black and white, is it?

By partially, do you mean that part of an individual scene will be black and white and part of it will be color, again like the preview?

At this point I don't think it's possible for this to suck.

Ahh and Tatantino directed! Ah! Ah! I haven't been this excited for a movie since I saw the preview for Garden State last summer.

No shit: Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Madsen, Mickey Rourke, Michael Clarke Duncan, Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Clive Owen, Josh Hartnett, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson...

That's a fucking large chunk of change. I think this movie looks great. Having the creator involved so deeply can only mean good things.
