i think theyre really great, myself. granted, i am a little drunk right now.... but earlier (when i was sober) i really liked them as well. im not a photographer or anything of the sort but i know what i like.

i think your black and whites stand out as the better ones.
my first reaction to the second one looses its detail in the contrast and saturation bump, which reminds me of an 90's music video. i think if you can achieve that contrast and color without loosing the detail when boosting contrast and saturation that photo would have really have looked great.
at least my 2¢

I really like the black and white trees, especially the first one. And that last one of the birds on the wire I think would look really cool as a tattoo. Yes, tattooability is essentially my only criterion for whether something looks good or not...

Personally I think the first one could use a little less contrast, it has a cool effect but you've lost a bit of detail there in some places! The pic is cool though! The second is a bit oversaturated, it looks unnatural, but some people are into that kind of stuff. Your pics are good though, nice composition and all! I think you messed with them a bit too much in photoshop, i'm more of a fan of the natural look, but that differs from person to person! And the fourth one is just awesome!!! Is that an actual picture or did you mess with it in photoshop?
thanks for all the feedback folks....i have a habit of not knowing when to draw the line when it comes to fiddling with shots...this sort of thing helps.....
there was a bit of cropping and playing with contrast in the 4th shot, but that's about it....i don't use photoshop....pretty much just the editing software that came with my camera....
here's another one of the birds.....

The one with the trees creeps me out cause I feel like there should be a kid dressed in white off in the distance staring at me... I don't want to think about that one anymore...
The last one with the birds makes me think of Wallace Stevens.
