I always see this poster on art websites like art.com and such. But this show never happened. Can someone tell me what the story behind this is?

The poster is junk and a rip off scam as you should know the show never happend.

It was made by either Pace Concerts or TAB (Tom Bunch) a former concert producer here in Houston who did book the legendary Soundgarden/Pearl Jam shows in Texas during April of 1992 before the Lollapalooza trek.

I think perhaps they had a hold date and were awaiting confirmation and the deal fell apart. The date was during the recording of the VS album as well as the big Ticketmaster fight so that could have been a factor as well.

We did not see PJ in Houston from 1991-2000

Cool, thanks for the info. Probably the worst PJ poster ever anyway.

They finished recording Vs. in May 1993. The date on this poster is three days after their 7/18/93 show in Amsterdam, which was the last date of their 1993 summer European tour.

I have a poster similar to that and its the pj/soundgarden one.....same date. same arena.same pj picture.....my poster was mounted on a thicker piece of wood however...

bought it at some flea market in the mid 90's.waaaay too expensive, but i was young and dumb...and could afford burning my parents money on expensive posters for fictional shows.
