I watched it loosely. Let's just say Chicago moved up on my "teams I like" list.

Not sure how strong the draft will be next year, but I LOVE the Lawson to Nuggets trade. We'll let him tutor under Chauncey for the next 2 or 3 years, and I'm pretty sure we'll be a high 20's pick next year anyway.

They'll trade Rubio....they have to insit they want to keep him to drive up offers....that Lawson trade might net them a higher pick then the 20's that pick is coming from Charlotte through the Nuggets.

They're not trading Rubio. He might play in Spain/Europe another 1-2 years before coming over, I heard the Wolves GM this morning talking about how he was shocked Rubio was available and how he couldn't pass on a can't miss talent like him. He also mentioned using a 3-guard rotation in the future.
Anyway, take it with a grain of salt, but I think the Wolves fully intend on keeping Flynn and Rubio

i can also see minny playing with two combo guards, neither being a true point and neither being a true shooting, and let them fall into place into those categories. flynn will probably tackle the other teams quicker guard and rubio will take the leftovers.

since minny got rid of their backcourt, they are going to need to g's to play along. why not let two grow together

One of those guys is getting traded....you don't draft two rookie point guards with the idea of keeping both no matter what the GM says on Sportcenter. One of them is being drafted as an asset to be traded later with Rubio being the one who can get you the most back in return. If they really do want to keep them both with the idea of playing them both at the same time it's not gonna work.

All Rubio can do is pass I would think that is a pure point guard....which means 6ft Flynn is your off guard. There aren't many teams in the league that back court can match up with....

Rubio doesn't want to play in Sota anyways and saying you are willing to wait two years for a player and actually doing it is two different things.

How is Rubio dropping 54 in championship games if "all he can do is pass"?
He was a 17yr old playing hurt in a strong pro league this year, so this season's stats are a bit misleading. He can score just fine, he's not Dwayne Wade, but isn't it reasonable to think he'll be as good as Jose Calderon in 3-4 years?

Wasn't that in the 16 and under league? Tony Delk had a 50point game in the NBA and had a career avg of 9pts. Either way the point I was making is he is a pass first guard not a shoot first guard....he is the definition of a pure point guard. You don't want him playing off the ball.

I'm not a big fan of PER stats....either way I think he has a chance to be a hell of a player. I hope he does play in the NBA.. I would just like to see him put in a situation where he can succeed.....I don't think that would be in a backcourt with Flynn....Anyways I've been wrong before. I'm a Uconn Alum and I never thought Caron Butler would make it in the NBA....guys an All Star!

I'll agree that right now he's a pure point guard. However, we can't judge Rubio for what he was at 17 and decide that he's never going to get better. I can easily see a 15-17 point, 9-11 assist guy who provides great D. They shouldn't have drafted Flynn if anything, but maybe he's trade bait once Rubio is ready for the Wolves.
