Morons have turned off MSN Web Messenger so that people that can't use the Messenger at work are now out. the 'replacement' is behind useless as it's not a separate neat window and it doesn't allow to only see online people alone..seriously how bloody dumb are they?
Unfortunately, we’ve had to temporarily block reader comments due to the volume of recent comments that violate our code of conduct.
And that doesn't tell you something??!

can't you just use meebo.com to connect to it?
I've no idea what that is, but the point is the people I know are on MSN. not yahoo, not AOL (well some are but tried trillian and it's a pain). And facebook or gmail chats are not functional either.

no, it's easier to check something online when you're actually near a computer and not in the middle of a field in Scotland for 5 days at a festival
And I just had a look. the grouping several IM is quite nice but the big problem is that you have to keep the tab open even if you pop-out..which is precisely what annoys me with Gmail and Facebook chats. Even the firefox plugin doesn't allow to close the tab (which makes it pointless) and the notifier is not really the same either.
the point of the MSN web was precisely that you had an almost independent application without having to install one.
So whilst Meebo is better than the current version of MSN, it's not replacement for the old version.

OK, I found something that actually is really annoying that Microsoft did. It's making me install Visual Studio 2008 SP1 before it will let me upgrade Biztalk from 2006 R2 to 2009, even though I have absolutely zero intention of ever using this machine to do any development work. Hey Microsoft, didn't you know that people typically do their development on their local machines, and not on the prod/qa/dev environments? Retards.
