Hey y'all,
I do a weekly podcast for the Pearl Jam fan that features music and commentary -- but mostly music. Anyway, I've only been doing it for about 2 months and I am coming up on the tenth episode. Since it's #10, I thought it'd be a kick to recreate the album TEN with live cuts culled from the last 19 years. I have ideas for some of the cuts, but I'd really like suggestions from other fans.
So, in your opinion, what are the best live versions of the songs off TEN? Any help would be much appreciated.

Sweet! Y'all are awesome! Keep 'em coming. I'm having less luck with songs that weren't radio hits like Once, Why Go, Oceans, and Deep -- anyone got suggestions for those tracks? Thanks!

There are so many great versions with highlights in different places, but I still think that the Atlanta 94 version of Black is the classic. I haven't heard enough early boots to help you out with the others, but the Deep and Garden from that show are pretty strong too.

I'll try to pick not only good preformances, but shows with at least a reasonable recording available, just off the top of my head... Once - Atlanta 4.3.94 Evenflow - Tivoli 3.4.92 Alive - Melkweg 2.12.92, Pinkpop 92 or Melbourne 3.17.95 Why Go - Chicago 3.28.92 or off AGAINST boot 7.16.1993? Black - Zurich 6.18.92 Jeremy - MTV Video Awards or 4.3.94 Atlanta or 3.17.95 Melbourne Oceans - Zurich 6.18.92 Porch - Atlanta 4.3.94 Garden - Atlanta 4.3.94 Deep - 7.16.1993 off AGAINST boot Release - Melbourne 3.5.98, Atlanta 94

I think the thing that makes the Uniondale evenflow so great (which it is) is that they combined a really intense Mike solo, Eddie's clearly into it, and after the solo they ease back into it like they used to....I love hearing Stone slowly play the riff as the buildup got louder and louder....Mike sort of does that to some effect here... I wish they'd play it like that all the time...awesome stuff.

why go is a song they nail almost every single time. It's hard to pick a favorite

Release from Santiago night 1 in 2005 was pretty cool. I think the date was 11/22/05. I've lost count how many times I've listened to that one.
ahem excuse me, there will never be a better version of release than atlanta 94!
I never said it was the best, I said it was pretty cool. I agree with you on the Atlanta 94, I'm just saying it's been heard by everyone a lot, perhaps a different version of Release would be nice. That's just my $0.02.

There will never be better versions of this songs than the ones betwen 91-94.The best black,BTW,is in Atlanta 94.But is better the one of the night before(not sure the date)But the bootleg is called: "Atlanta:The Day Before".The "we belong together part" goes so well and powerfull with Mikes ending solo, that is amazing.

Atlanta is definitely the benchmark. I'm sure it'll be represented but I want the performances to span the last 19 years. Thanks again for all the awesome suggestions -- I got some listening to do! Anyone else wanting to throw their $0.02, please do so. I'm not recording the podcast for at least another week or so.

Don't do songs like porch, once and garden, maybe even jeremy an injustice by using anything from later than 1995. As for the others...for later versions:
