Fuck, if I had money I'd be there in a shot. They'll just be warming up for the real London show anyway :)

I can imagine this show being filmed and them using 30 minutes of it as a late night channel 4 thing to promote the album.

Maybe they'll announce it today (as is still an early hour or their announcements). I'm not saying I'm counting on it though.

Ooh, hope so.

Since I'm an ocean away I'm not sure why I looked this up, but hey:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O2_Shepherds_Bush_Empire

Quote:
The O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (the first word is sometimes spelled Shepherd's) is a music venue in Shepherd's Bush, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, run by the Academy Music Group. It was built in 1903, as a music hall, and in 1953 became the BBC Television Theatre. Since 1991, it has operated as a music venue.

...

The Empire has a capacity of only 2,000, but it has been chosen as a venue for small gigs by such leading performers as Neil Finn,Thunder, David Bowie, Phish, Erasure, Elton John, Smashing Pumpkins and The Rolling Stones. In retrospect the most talked about show to take place there happened on March 10, 2003, when Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines made her famously controversial remark against United States President George W. Bush.

Wow, that would be absolutely tits. Lucky Londoners.

This is brilliant news...a step closeer to seeing them in the Olympia in Dublin(dream gig)..this venue is identical but not as old...

(Why am I always so negative? Just because I missed out on the Astoria the last time? Or because flying makes me so sick? Maybe I'm just tired...)
