1. Speed of Sound - doesn't seem to be getting much love, but I love the guitar and the lyrics... "a whisper in the dark... was that you are just my thoughts?"... haunting song
2. The End - with the strings HOLY SHIT! This is gonna be killer
3. Unthought Known - The lyrics are great and I tend to like PJ's mid-tempo stuff in general... there seems to be a nice balance of loud and quite on this one
4. Got Some - Despite Eddie's poor vocal performance that night, I think it is plain to see that this song is going to kick ass.
5. The Fixer - OK... I'm one of the few that likes this song... so if this is the worst song on the album, I'll be happy as hell.

I've held off listening to speed of sound and unthought unknown. I don't want to hear that much early. The End and Got some are enough to keep me excited.

It, and Got Some, are the 2 I'm most intrigued about hearing on the record.

Of all the songs I've heard, I think The Fixer ranks as the worst. I still enjoy it to an extent. I think all the Ed solo tracks have incredible potential and could be the core of the album. The melodies are incredible.

I think the studio version of Got Some will be incredible. It has some potential to kick ass in the same fashion as Brain of J. Got Some would fit nicely as the third song in a set. Agreed?

Imagine this opening combo..

Release
Last Exit
Got Some

Yea, that'd be nice.

Just so you know, when the album comes out and people start ranking the songs on Backspacer, I'm totally merging it into this thread.
