Alrighty then. I'm ready to do this thing.

I've never been to a show here but I have a mate who saw Roger Waters here and said it was great.

More importantly, what is the nearest public house?

Doing the Google Maps thing it looks as though The Queens on Beaufort Street might not be a bad option - it's about 2km away and that's a reasonable stroll for a slightly pissy Saturday afternoon. I've had a few beers over the years at The Queens.

The Inglewood would be my personal choice, but that's a wee tad too far away.

The city pubs are similar distance away (maybe a bit more) but I think it would be harder to get out of town.

Thoughts?

The Queens or The Brisbane will be the best bet, I think.

Is The Brisbane the one towards town they did up a few years ago? On Beaufort as well, block down from that late night service station all the taxi cabs use?

Yeah, I am not sure if the servo is still there though. It's just a touch outside of Northbridge.

Yeah. That's the one.
Have to "pop" your collar before you go in there though

 I'm not much of a collar-wearer, let alone collar-popper.

Here's the seating plan:

Not too bad. Looks like beers are OK in GA, which is nice. I'm not one for fighting to be at the front so I'll be quite happy towards the middle of the "Fixer" section.

 Yep, I'm excited too but a bit worried about the whole GA thing (I'm a true country mouse), especially coz I'm taking one of my girls. She's nearly 16 and taller and stronger than me, so she'll be my bodyguard for the night.

Hey! The Cowaramup Kid! How's it going?

GA will be fine - should be a lot of fun I think. I've got the wife to protect (she's only a wee one herself), but I don't think I'm gonna be threatenning the front row anyways.

We are fully-country ourselves, although Broome is a tad bigger than your charming little hamlet. Having said that I'm pretty positive that you see the big smoke on a far more regular basis than I do. The crowds at Galleria scare me still!

Hey backatcha Varis........f*&^ing freezing in Cowtown. Broome is sounding pretty good. We try and stay away from the city as much as poss, except when PJ come to town!!! Still got to book accommodation, so need to pull finger out and ass into gear.

I guess I'm a bit nervous coz it was such a shitfight getting out of Subi to our hotel last time - lots of pissed bogans on the street - and as hubby won't be going, I'll be the responsible adult :)

My solution to this very situation is to try my hardest to actually be one of those pissed bogans. I'd better start growing my mullet right about now I think - already got my mungs shirt and my lee jeans sorted. Might need a pair of Romes too - I'm not a fan of the old black DBs.

The 80s really was the greatest decade.

I've got a spare 10C ticket available. PM if interested.

Only a few more days to go. :D A few random questions:

(1) Will Eddie go surfing at one of the local breaks?

(2) Where will PJ stay?

(3) Will they finally play RVM for me? I've seen them 6 times and still haven't heard my all time favourite song live. :?

(4) Where is everybody hanging out before and after the show?
