Story of an 80s metal band making somewhat of a comeback. From all the reviews I've read, it's a really good film. I'll be sure to check it out at some point.

The buildup to that last show in Japan was well crafted.
I would have to disagree with this. As much as I enjoyed the movie, I don't really think the filmmakers were that good. They often seemed to be filming retroactively and weren't there for the moments they should have caught. As far as the last show, it was just reality show editing building up to a non-issue. I don't think the story telling was the strong point of the movie. I think that the people in the film are where the heart of this movie is.

I agree, but I found myself dreading the thought of an empty arena. Therefore: Well crafted. Whether it's through competent editing or involvement with the characters doesn't really matter here. It affected me in the way it was obviously intended to. And that is good film making to me.

It was very transparent to me. Didn't really think it did affected me at all. I think it might as well be America's top model at that moment. Effective maybe, but I wouldn't say well crafted.
