This may seem insignificant, but its been irking me just listening to the ten second clip. Eddie's voice being naturally hard for the hearing impaired is a killer but the music and passion is unbelievable.
If anybody could decipher those few words for me it would be much appreciated!

Damn, the way Ed hangs on consonants and adds verbs to words really tripped me up the first time! My SWAG was all kinds of FAIL!
Listened again, and it just sounds to me like he is just repeating the same line twice that someone else said: "Gotta say it now, better loud, than too late."

better now makes more sene than loud, but I haven't listened to that snippet in a while so I'm soley going on how the suggested lines read.

Agreed that "now" makes more sense than "loud," but if that is what he is saying, than, christ, he needs to remove the marbles from his mouth before he sings!

Come on. In that 10 second clip he clearly says "better loud than too late" not "better now than too late".
Let's not make excuses because it doesn't sound right!
This. It's not what you think it should be, it's what it is. Listen again.
The first time around it's a little unclear, but the second time is definitely "now." I don't think he says "loud" because you never hear that D sound.

The "D" is silent.
