Doubtful. While I'll agree that XBox 2 will more than likely be a more powerful console, Sony will maintain a better marketing strategy and attract more developers.

XBOX has a better library than GCN. Also XBOX has a better first / second party game library than Sony.
I agree, the PC comment is silly. I mainly dislike Sony for their shoddy marketing strategy. Bringing out new model PS2s every year becuase they purposely made something not so good in the previous model, but not really fixing it though (i'm talking about the oh so common disc read error that occurs in so many PS2s). Make their PS2s break in a year so people can go out and buy new ones...that's kind of cheating don't you think? Heh...
As far as games though, yeah it has the most games on any console, but it's also got the most crappy games in any console. Xbox has fewer games but fewer crap, i have all three systems, my PS2 i got for free, and it just sits on my tv stand collecting dust, only being played when i feel like playing Metal Gear Solid 3.
To get back on Topic, thats awesome about the new Nintendo system, backward compatibility would be a gem on a nintendo system.
