I have two 10C tickets for the 8/24 show in Chicago, problem is I live in New Jersey but I'm going to be in Georgia for training starting this Monday for three weeks.
How do I sell the tickets, without violating any Ten club rules?..

you can email them and ask if you can transfer them, but chances are they will say no.
"By opting to purchase tickets, you agree to all Ten Club policies. All ticket sales are final. No refunds, exchanges or transfers."
the only other way would be to go pick up the tickets and sell them there or line up a buyer in advance, but I know that doesnt work for you.
this doesnt help you now, and I know unexpected things come up, but if there is a chance that a buyer will not be able to make the show, it's better to buy regular tickets and not 10C tickets, because you can re-sell regular tickets.
if they dont let you transfer to another 10C member and you cant pick up the tickets, you'll have to eat the tickets unfortunately. good luck.

The ten club really needs to make a policy change around tickets. Every tour we see this same problem. At bare minimum you should be able to transfer tickets to another 10C member.

people abused it, ruined it for everyone. people were having others with good 10C numbers buy tickets, then transfer to members with higher numbers. the tickets stay under the buyer's 10C number, so it was a field day for the shifty ones.

Well they should change the policy so when you transfer to another 10c member, it goes to the new buyers 10c number and seniority.

unfortunately, that will get abused as well. say I have a 100k number and you have a 400k number (and you got tickets). I could say take me as your +1 and we can transfer the tix to my number.
the answer would be that you MAY transfer to another member, but the higher of the 2 numbers applies. however, I can see that this creates extra work and hassle for the 10C, and dont mind the "no transfers" policy as long as it applies to everyone and they stick to it.

I don't see that scenerio as abuse because you could have just bought the tickets in the first place. At least the 10Club member with the seniority is in attendence.

With the way the 10c does business it's almost a necessity to allow transfers of some sort. The above mentioned method of where the seniority does not transfer with the ticket sounds good.

Is there a way we can ask them nicely to transfer the tickets to me? I missed out on the rushed sale for 8/24 but have everything lined up to go to 8/23 on my Club tickets. How can we make this work? Would really appreciate the tickets.

Wouldn't that be a logistical nightmare for the 10C to accommodate every person that can't make it 1 week before the show? I'm assuming that the seats are pre-assigned way in advance of the show. So for 1 member with a low number that can't make to transfer them to another with a high number, the 10C would have to re-allocate tickets for everyone who bought tickets that can make it but who were assigned seats after the low-number member.

I think anything but keeping the original buyer's 10C number is a bigger pain in the ass than we know, and since that was abused, I'm fine with no transfers. I buy 10C tickets knowing that if something comes up, I'm out of luck and I'm going to lose that money. If a show is a maybe, buy regular tickets. Otherwise, be prepared to eat the tix of you cant go.

I had to eat tickets to a 2006 show. I emailed them, told them that I couldn't make it, and told them to upgrade some poor bastard with a high number (I had no less then first row every show that year) -- they were happy to accommodate me.

They should allow refunds if you become unable to attend the show, but I don't see why they should let someone transfer their tickets to someone who didn't order them.

i wish i was that poor bastard still so pissed i gave up my 10c in 96 to get it back in 03.
anyways - it is what it is - i guess for a small operation its pain in the butt to deal with transfers. i also just am prepared to eat the tix if i have to

Your way is just as good. Basically any system that can prevent tickets from going unused is the ideal situation.

Are you going to training in GA with the military? There was talk of a deployment for me after I bought my Chicago tix so I e-mailed the Ten Club. They said the military are the only people whose tix they would refund, but you had to provide them a copy of your orders.

That would make too much sense, Chud.
My friend who has been a member for 12 years and been to 35+ shows can't make the Chicago shows and they told him he's shit out of luck. He didn't even want money, just didn't want the tickets to go to waste.

there is this thread on the pit. some dude had a ton of trouble getting this transfer done. basically the tenclub person at the window gave him a ton of tude. and he flew from italy to london for said show.
i say, do the transfer via email, ask who you are supposed to talk to at the window, and print out those emails.

Such BS. I'm scrapping all over to get a pair of tickets and I know there's going to be a pile sitting unclaimed. I bet a lot of people will not go since the Philly shows. It's the wrong Green Policy, it's Green Disease...
