here is an interesting case

a blogger created skanks in nyc and posted pictures of a particular model and made some very unflattering comments about her, such as shes a whore etc..

the model got a court order for google to hand over the persons identity (though on blogger.com all that is needed to sign up is a legit email address) and her attorneys tracked her down.

now the mean-spirited blogger is sueing google for not protecting her identity enough

====================================================================

how far should your identity be protected on the internet. in my mind it would be the same as having someone paint your name and that you suck cock on a the side of a building. it will be up for a few days, but then someone would surely come by and paint over it. so to ask to have it taken down is not such a bad thing in the world of the net.

it seems many people feel the need to be an alter ego on the net because never in a million years would they say what they are saying if someone knew them or how it would affect their families
