Saw this posted on the Pit. The sound quality on this video rocks. I think this is the best performance of the song I've seen. Even when Jack Irons was in the band they didn't have it this close to the studio version. Props to Eddie for sounding amazing (better than 1996 live versions), Matt for solid drums, and the rest of the band for pulling off a great rendition. I hope they play this at Outside Lands.

It is my idea or this Eddie sounds better than almost anything since 2000?.

while it's the best Matt Cameron-era version by MILES, it doesn't touch 3/5/98 or a bunch of Jack's '96 versions
Hearing Jack play both Who You Are and In My Tree during that short 1996 fall tour was incredible.
Its cool that they're playing it like the original version, but this song owns, regardless of how it starts or what lyrics Eddie forgets. Even as its morphed through the years, it remains an awesome highlight from No Code. Its a kick ass beat and all three musical parts (verse, chorus, and, bridge) are really cool. I've never heard a bad version of this song.

I don't know why it pisses me off so much, but I hate that Ed never sings "the sky I scrape" line anymore in this song. The delivery of that line on No Code is so powerful, I don't know what he could possibly have against it [unless he hates this website or something!].....

I'm still annoyed that the only time I saw the band play with Jack they didn't play either of those songs.
I saw them with Jack 3 times, and they didn't play either of them at any of those, either. Granted, one of those times was pre-No Code (1995), but the other two times (1998) they didn't play them, either. Cunts.

When No Code was released in the fall of 1996 they went on a real short run of something like a dozen shows around the east coast. That's when I heard them, and it was the only time I ever heard Jack play. By the time I saw the 1998 US Tour two years later, Matt was in the band.

My two 1998 shows were in Australia-Jack's last PJ tour.

One other thing...someone should really tell poor Ed how much of a dork he looks like on stage with those shorts and his socks jacked up. He looks like he's a techie for Cisco or something. So not Rock n' Roll, Mr. Vedder.....
