I love Philip Glass (and the Solo Piano album in particular), and I couldn't believe my ears last year at Bonnaroo when it started up. I think it's perfect.

Wouldn't mind hearing Aye Davanita, though.

I said to a buddy of mine while we were in Berlin listening to this, that PJ really should take a shot at listening to some Ludovico Einaudi.
Einaudi is such a great pianist and the vibe he creates is similar to this piece by Glass, but much much better imho.

anyone here knows his tunes?

I've only heard Divenire, and yeah it's great.

It was (re)used as part of the film 'The Hours' score. I've never seen it, but I believe it was used near the end of the film.

I swear it was on a commercial that appeared on espn alot.

the melody is carried on the chords right from the beginning and is a different melody. obviously the same idea with the arppegiated chords and tempo. but it didn''t originate with Glass either so...
