Anyone got a good picture of Ed's Fender Telecaster that he's been using constantly since about 2004? I'm talking about the one that has the arrow in the middle of it and has sparkles on the top front. It has a P-90 pickup at the bridge. I'm thinking about trimming the top of my Telecaster's body to match the way that Ed has done his. Check his out, you can see plain wood where he has trimmed and sanded down the body. I think that this would aid in comfort greatly. I play heavily and my arm is constantly bothered by the hard angle. I can't seem to find any good pics though.

I was thinking about adding a p-90 to mine. I hardly ever play it anymore, as it just doesn't have enough growl and I think that would help. Did you drop a p-90 into yours?

No, I havn't put a P-90 in mine. I put a Seymour Duncan single coil sized 59 humbucker into the bridge slot that has some serious bite to it that totally rocks and I think that the original lipstick bridge pickup has a bit of trouble keeping up as it's a little quieter. I think I eventually need to change it for something with slightly higher output.
I used to have a Gibson Les Paul double cutaway junior that had double P-90s and that was a pretty sweet guitar. Definitely nothing wrong with those wide single coils but I really like humbuckers myself.
Jesus, what a fuckfest this thread has turned into. lol Whether I can find a good picture of it or not, I think I'm gonna try to give my guitar a nice contour to aid in arm comfort. It just so happens to be similar to what I have seen on Ed's guitar.

Alright, I'm searching around and I just found this one:
See near his arm where it's just plain wood texture? The guitar has simply been cut and sanded down there to aid in comfort. I think I'm gonna do that tomorrow to my precious Tele. It's a 99. Bought it brand new ten years ago. Might as well hack her apart, eh?
there are some good shots on this website. there are also pictures of a custom made vedder replica that i purchased from him..also..anyone have any feedback on the replica? i think it looks good, it definitely plays well

Just as a side-point, Ed's had that guitar a lot longer since 2004 when he started playing it on-stage: it's the guitar he's playing on the inside cover of No Code. I wonder what took him so long to bring it on tour?

Where did you purchase it? And for how much? If you don't mind my asking.
I purchased it from the guy who runs 7worksguitars..apparently he was having trouble selling it and put it on ebay for a 200-300 if i remember..if you go to 7worksguitars.com he has some other stuff up there.
