Hi. Thanks. I am currently trying to correct the Love Boat Captain lyrics. It is a fantastic song, but Ed has asked me for a little bit of help as this has just recently come to his attention. Case in point:

'Love boat captain take the reins and steer us towards the clear.'

Holy mixed metaphor Batman!

So, should it be:

'Love boat captain, take the wheel and steer us t'ward the clear'

or

'Love horse rider, take the reins and steer us t'ward the clear'

Ed and I would appreciate your help.

Well, we did it.. We corrected the lyrics, and Ed and me are pretty happy with the results.

But you'll have to wait for 'Riot Act redux' to hear which line we chose folks!

Tell Ed I think he should be more creative. Why limit it to horse? Any animal could potentially be ridden so why not 'love cat rider' or 'love whale rider'? Then the band could segue into Whale Song or if they went with 'love cat rider' they could tag The Cure's Lovecats onto the end.

Hmmm... Lots to consider, and we will. Some great ideas. I'm not sure if Ed is a 'cat person', but these are Lovecats, so this is different.. And I'm sure the proceeds from Love Whale Rider can go towards saving a few whales, and probably make a good video game. I'll see what he says. Great contribution.
