This was a triumph. It's so playful and limber. It's Matt and Eddie writing a Bruce Springsteen/Dire Straits song

No way in hell Eddie is pulling this off in concert unless it's one of the first 3 songs. Too many lyrics

You can hear what they were talking about with patterns instead of solos. There's a really nice outro here, but it's not the standard climactic solo

fucking outro. wow. and theres not much going on musically.

However, the song is STILL FUCKING AWSOME. But man, they coulda pushed for a little solo maybe to live up to the name "Johnny GUITAR"

After one listen and one listen only of the album, Johnny Guitar is #1 on my list.

Very unique, lotsa lyrics (like Satan's Bed in a way), and just plain rock and rolls. tough to pin down musically -- kinda Elvis Costello, kinda Springsteen, kinda PJ -- but that's a horrible description and doesn't do it justice.

As I said in the album thread, I definitely hear some Thin Lizzy influences on this one and yes, it's really worth the listen.
