Are you familiar with the first three tracks on Yield?

The other two are remarkable in their own way too, Brazil.

Best 3 is Johnny Guitar through ATW.

Unthought Known is growing on me though, so maybe it'll be one of their best 4 song runs.

The fact that Zeb is excited for at least part of this record makes me happy.

Probably the best 3 in a row on Backspacer, yes.

Johnny Guitar thru Unthought Known is very very good but wouldn't match:

Ten - Even Flow, Alive, Why Go, Black

Take your pick from any 3 consecutive songs off Binaural starting with Light Years.

It's better on every level to me, musicianship being one of them, maturity, the lyrics, and the finished and melodically complete nature of the songs on backspacer lift it beyond ten.

Sorry, I think it might be their best album. I think the decision to go with Vedder's vocal pushed this album into the stratosphere. Who knew? The 30 second clips could not reveal this. I feel so very fortunate to be here for this, much like I felt as a child when Abbey Road came out.

Melodically and vocally this record is brilliant. and it's used even in the bridges to full effect. the music is brilliant throughout. and nothing competes with voice as an solo instrument. on.every.single.fucking.song.

I don't think anyone in hard rock can touch this. I didn't expect this to my album of the year. Not like this. I thought I end up saying pj was my favorite band. But this takes Into The Wild and extends it across the whole band. I am pwnd

was the feeling of hearing this album seriously compared to hearing Abbey Road?

My feeling after a day is that Johnny Guitar - Unthought Known may be one of the best 4 song punches Pearl Jam has put out.

Time will tell.

it's a better 1-3 than anything on binaural, no code, riot act, vs, and yield

it's a better 1-4 than anything on S/T. I'm not sure yet how it'll stack up wtih Life Wasted--WWS--Comatose (those 3 songs are my 3 favorite on that record and it's awfully nice having them right in a row like that)

I don't know about Ten--the even flow through jeremy run is incredible

Not sure how it'll stack up against Not for you--tremor christ--nothingman

It's a great run though. One of their best
