I've decided there are only three types of people on the planet, and what type you are is defined by your prefered version of the Beatles' 'Revolution'.

Which do you choose?

What is the difference between Revolution and Revolution 1?

On what album was Revolution released? (I know Rev. 1 & 9 were on the White Album).

Revolution without any number is the single version, a b-side to Hey Jude. It's quite a bit faster than the white album version.

And it's the version I prefer.

What "type" of person chooses #9? The type that should be institutionalized?

I know someone on here who would.

Myself, I'd go with 1.

That's true, but I think he's sane, and anyway, you get my point.

yeah, I figure anyone who chooses 9 is either one of the craziest, coolest people alive, or an outright liar.

I take Revolution.

All this talk about a hard rocking new pearl jam album makes me crave raw power like in the electric b-side Revolution. That version rawks.

On what album was Revolution released? (I know Rev. 1 & 9 were on the White Album).

"Revolution" is the loud version you usually hear on the radio. It was released as a single before The White Album was released.

"Revolution 1" is a slowed down version of "Revolution." It's more acoustic than the single version.

"Revolution 9" is an avant-garde sound collage. It's not a song per se, much like "Stupid Mop." It's way too long and pretty much unlistenable, much like "Stupid Mop."

I choose "Revolution."
