Just got my tickets a couple of days ago for the first Philly show. It says Pearl Jam and Special Guest! Who could be the special guests. Here's my thoughts.. it definitely has to be someone from Seattle or maybe Neil Young. I'm hoping for Neil Young or a Soungarden reunion opener (which probably won't happen). Does anyone know or have any ideas/ fantasies of who's opening up?

I think Soundgarden reunited and Them Crooked Vultures are the two most credible rumors I've seen.

What makes either of those rumors credible?

I'm pretty sure I've seen tickets labeled "and Special Guest" before just because the opener wasn't booked yet. It didn't change the caliber of the opening act.

Yea, I've had plenty of tickets that said special guest. And believe me, there was nothing special about the opener.

according to WMMR, Bad Religion opening 10/30 and 31.

yeah, that is, after seeing them in Chicago. I didn't mind their set or anything else, but I certainly wasn't expecting/wanting to see them again. Still should be enjoyable though.
