The hard rock of Self Titled and the softer side of Backspacer would have been an interesting dynamic album.

Very close between Comatose and Life Wasted for third spot and even closer between Just Breathe and ATW for the penultimate song. And yes, I'm aware that I've listed Inside Job instead of The End as the closer. I'm doing this on the provision that all of the S/T songs are recorded in the same sessions as the Backspacer ones and produced by O'Brien. I know this probably won't be a popular attempt but it's what I would've liked most I think.

this should never be done. the results would be catastrphic and cause all space and time to collapse in upon itself. S/T was S/T. Backspacer is something else. :thumbsup:

I went running today and decided The Fixer is the official new no.1 running song.

Thinking about it, by combining any two records, you can get something unbelievably good - obviously with certain theme miss-matches.

*Just found The Fixer -> Severed Hand transition to be very smooth.

No. these two should never be mixed. Though I did have a moment where I heard WWS fitting in after Johnny Guitar the other day. It soon passed.

Seriously tho...I understand the 'not wanting to fuck with the originals', but I love seeing what songs flow well into each other.

The Fixer - Severed Hand - Just Breathe worked well. Maybe 'cos SH is much more fleshed out than Jonny Guitar.
