The Bends -> OK Computer -> Kid A
Dirt -> Jar of Flies -> Alice In Chains
No Code -> Yield -> Binaural
The Dark Side of the Moon -> Wish You Were Here -> Animals
Led Zeppelin III -> Untitled -> Houses of the Holy
Badmotorfinger -> Superunknown -> Down On The Upside

not too nit-pick but it's:
Beggars Banquet > Let It Bleed > Sticky Fingers
Exile is in fact next, but there's too much filler for a leap into # 4 perfection IMO

For the Beatles I'd throw out:
Rubber Soul > Revolver > Pepper's

I can't believe I forgot Pavement! Also good calls on The Beatles and Springsteen. It's a tough call on some bands - choosing Dark Side of the Moon - Animals instead of Wish You Were Here - The Wall basically says DSotM is better than The Wall (even though The Wall is great).
