Ok, Finally a place to speak on the Braves... Everyone else has a thread.
I was there last night watching our lineup turn Ricky Nolasco into Sanford Kofax.
I was there watching Bobby yet again trot the gimp Greg Norton out in another critical at bat.
Lament. Lament.
Oh well if it weren't for Diaz hustling to first he wouldn't have had the opportunity to Lonnie Smith it at 3rd base.
Damn. Damn. Damn.
We need an owner with deep pockets that wants to spend.... not Liberty Fing Media.
Also, if they end up losing Soriano and Gonzo... not a big deal to me. Neither one of them is a great closer.
We need fracking hitters with power and a true lead off man with speed.
I don't care if huddys option is 12.5 million. They need to pick it up. Kowpajami is just quality depth. They need all the pitchers they can get and he can come out of the bullpen if need be.
Oh sure we can get through the year with Schaffer, Francouer and Kelly Johnson sucking complete balls. What an awesome lineup out of spring training eh?
16 k's. 9 in a row. The hated Matty Diaz not taking home when he could have. And getting thrown out at 3rd. It was a pretty crazy game. I was sure the Marlins were going to hand it to you guys.

Nolasco was obviously really good last night, I couldn't see the location because I was in row 20 up and to the left of right behind the plate. The last couple of innings though were exciting as hell. All you can want in a game really.
The kid that lead off for the Marlins last night the rookie.... he's a freaking great hitter.
The error that chipper gave up to Maybin.....I put my head down and go... damn... well that's it... My wife says... what happens to positivity like from the Falcons game... I say... see Hanley coming up... See Ross Gload... See Dan Uggla... yeah this is about to get Uggla.... 3 runs later.... who knew it would be that close or exciting at the end???
I couldn't believe Diaz broke for it, I was watching the ball and it was only maybe 3 ft away behind the catcher... they said on the radio maybe he scores if he doesn't hesitate... but there was no way he was meat no way around it. He took way to big a chance but hey it's Matt Diaz... he plays with his hair on fire take the good with the bad I guess. Usually he's a good bass runner.
How about McCann's agility avoiding the DP in the previous inning?
Yeah Chris Coghlan is a really solid ballplayer. There's talk that he'll be our 2nd baseman next year because we most likely will not bring Uggla back.
On tv I thought Diaz would have made it. Not so much for how far away the ball went but Donnaley didn't break for home right away. When Diaz stopped I think he was at least as close, if not slightly closer, to home than Donnaley was. What killed him was that after he stopped he then took another two steps towards home for no reason and that's what hung him out to dry.
