I did a search for this and came up with nothing. Sorry if it is a repost of some sort.
I relistened to a number of the PJ records yesterday (Riot Act, Binaural, Yield). Some of them I hadn't listed to in their entirety for years. BINAURAL is an example of that. I wanted to go back, listen to the whole record, kind of "rediscover" it, and rank the songs on the album. I know how I thought I would rank the songs, but when I actually listened to everything again, some songs I liked a lot more then I remember, and some songs I liked a lot less. Here is my new ranking of the songs of BINAURAL.
1. Sleight of Hand 2. Rival 3. Breakerfall 4. Light Years 5. Parting Ways 6. Of the Girl 7. Insignificance 8. Thin Air 9. Nothing as it Seems 10. Soon Forget 11. Grievance 12. God's Dice 13. Evacuation
I will be doing similar threads for Riot Act and Yield for sure, and maybe for each of the albums. I found this a pretty enjoyable exercise.

Any album where a song as good as Parting Ways doesn't come till 7 is a really good album.

First of all, I have to say that I listened to this on my home stereo this morning and, my, that is an absolutely horrible production. I didn't remember that it shocked this much but this morning, it really feels like the frequency range is like 5000 hz wide. That said, there are songs on this album that i love and some that I dont want to listen to anymore : Color code Excellent Great Good Average Meh
1. Breakerfallgood rocker, should have been a lot better with better production 2. Gods' Diceanother good one, the guitar is interesting 3. Evacuationgood rocker, a killer with a better production 4.
