Already posted on the 10c message board but thought it was interesting, rumours ??

Just because now it's time for family and side-projects, says the boss. Matt Cameron and Stone Gossard are expecting further kids, Jeff Ament and Mike McCready are planning albums with several hobby-bands and Eddie is thinking about traveling."

Travelling and touring are two seperate things. Don't jump to conclusions.

Hey guys, I read this somewhere, so what's the deal?

Quote:
After wrapping up their 2009 tour in support of their latest studio album, Backspacer, Pearl Jam is set to take a 2 month break and then play live sets for E.H. Ruddock, a user on the Red Mosquito forum. Each night, E.H. will select 4 or 5 songs for the band to play while he is eating his dinner, according to guitarist Mike McCready. After 3 months or so of entertaining E.H. Ruddock, the band is set to try a new type of venue tour as they embark on a high school auditorium-only tour. Dates will be announced in the near future. To further celebrate their 20 years as a band, they will play Dirty Frank on the first Friday of every month, at a town square TBD.

Not sure who said it, but it's a quote, so...

Sorry, forgot the  in the whole post. Just making light of the fact that the original poster just quoted someone randomly from the 10C board.

come on guys, very funny. I just posted a quote which I thought was interesting enough to start a discussion (if it were true off course).

And if you really want to know apparently the German magazine is called 'Musikexpress'.
http://www.musikexpress.de/Home.html Maybe they'll post it online soon.

I find this pretty unlikely - the band and Kelly Curtis have already spoken on the record of their plans for more Backspacer touring throughout 2010.

I dunno the different quotes about 2010 have been all over the place from what I've seen. I've seen Ed quotes saying they'll do very little if any touring because of band members having kids, then I've seen the Curtis quotes about touring, and I think I've seen a McCready quote about touring next year. So who knows, I really had my heart set on them coming around Boston soon though. It's really about time I saw this band live.

I hear ya, it's an awfully long time since they last played anywhere near Boston, let alone in the city......
