aside from the usuals, (ritfw, yellow ledbetter, baba, fuck'n up, etc.) what song do you think is fit to end a pearl jam concert. is it one of theirs, a neil or the who cover, or one they've never done before but you think they should try. the usual songs they do are great for ending a show but maybe mixing it up a bit wouldn't be bad. i wonder if opening with yellow ledbetter would work.

i'm not a big fan of the doors but i do like and appreciate their music. eddie did sing with the remainings at hof, maybe a doors cover would work to end a show.

id love to see them bring back Let My Love Open The Door, maybe not to actually close the show, but that was always a fun one.

and ive got a feeling with the nice long jams would really end the show well

since it could hardly be considered a "usual" closer since it hasn't been with any frequency since the 90's. I say put Ledbetter on the backburner for a tour and bring back Indifference as a staple closer.

I hate the Indifference closer, it seems to suck the air right out of the building to me.

I think Porch is a great closer. Immortality is my favorite song of all time, that might work with the extended ending with the drums.

An extended I've Got A Feeling is probably the only thing that would come close to (but not match) Yellow Ledbetter.

I say retire Yellow Ledbetter. I think RitFW, Baba, Fuckin' Up, Porch and Alive work very well as closers. Indifference has been used there, however, it's a bit too soft for my tastes as a closer. RVM would work well. IMO, Release, Jeremy and Black could possibly do the trick.

I dont know why everyone is so against Ledbetter, it's a great fugging song, one of their best. It's always the song that people that arent big PJ fans say "oh I love that song, what's it called?" about. I like that they close almost all their shows with it, it's their definitive closing song. When I go to a PJ concert, I want YL to close the show.
